Satellite dome on caravan?

I am extremely tempted to purchase the newly introduced SatFi sat dome, 55 cm dia. 26 cm height and weighs 8 kg. However, I have two concerns, firstly will I invalidate the Bailey Alutec warranty as there will be a hole drilled in the roof? Secondly, whilst
being new to caravanning, these domes seem fairly standard on motor homes but I have yet to see one on a caravan? Does anyone have experience of installing/using a sat dome on you van?
