I own a Swift Escape 686 which I bought from new in 2011.  I have had fitted a Solar Panel on the roof which is supposed to keep the Drive and Leisure batteries topped up. However over the winter months the sun is so low in the sky that the solar panel does
not recieve enough sunlite to do its job and the batteries are continually flat.  It is easy enough to jump start the van from the car.

How do others that own motorhomes keep their batteries in good order as I understant it is not good to leave them flat for long periods. I see from the storage site many motorhomes which are now put to bed for the winter and I was wondering how you go about
looking after your batteries.
