Giving up work and odd jobbing in europe

Hi All

We were wondering if anyone has given up full time work and moved into their caravan, odd jobbing around UK and Europe, to fund their living expenses. We thought of things like fruit picking. Anyone with this experiance, please point us in the right direction.
For your info we are in early 50's and need to find out what life is all about!
