Coachman VIP battery issues

When we first used our new Coachman Vip without mains electrics we thought that the battery was draining quite quickly and when we put the caravan back in storage within a few weeks the battery was totally flat. Assuming a faulty battery, I had a new one
put in when the caravan was serviced and the dealer tested that everything was running as it should have been, which he said it was. Went away for 3 weeks using mains electrics the entire time. Put the caravan back in storage with a fully charged battery and
within a few weeks the battery is totally flat, a real nuisance when needing to use the motor mover! The master switch was off and there is an 80kw solar panel fitted on the roof. Has any else had a similar problem or can anyone please tell me what I am doing
wrong to cause the battery to go flat?

I know it’s a long time since this post but my 2017 VIP has just done the same. Fully charged when last checked 5 weeks ago and now totally flat with nothing on at all not even the alarm. Again have a 80kw solar panel. Someone suggested the alarm battery had gone and drained the 12v leisure battery. Did you ever resolve your problem??

Don't assume that a solar panel in Winter will be capable of recharging a battery. If you use your motor mover to store the van then it's probable the battery has been unable to recharge and has simply further discharged naturally.
