Mains water feed.. direct or through Aquaroll

Just wondered if anyone has comment on best way to connect water on a serviced pitch. The direct connection with Whale Aquasource or with one of the mains adaptors for the Aquaroll container? 

I suppose in the winter the direct connection is more likely to freeze?
