Can I put an awning on a Talbot Express 1990?

Hi All

I am Joanna and am a complete novice. I have just bought a Talbot Express 1990. It has a pull out canopy thing on the side but I would like an awning. Does anyone know if its possible to fit one on?

Many thanks for your help, hoping to venture out in my new motor home tomorrow for an exploratory trip.
