Awnings rail or wall?

We have a Lunar Lexon and are considering buying a roll out awning for our caravan, I note that there are rail or wall types. Can anyone give any advice on the pros & cons of either of these please.

We currently have a full wning but feel it would be easier for our trips abroad to use a roll out awning
