How to get to Trafford Centre from Burrs Park

Has anyone done this? we are going to the Manchester show in January staying at Burrs. As we will not have transport with us (other than M/H) we were thinking of using public transport. Is this possible without lots of changes. The other option is to take
the M/H would this be possible, we have done that at Glasgow but don't know if its possible for the Manchester show. Any help would be appreciated.
