Charcoal BBQ

Im just wondering what other members views are on charcoal bbqs, last year i had a home made bbq which was well used on a cl, a couple arrived on the Wednesday and the wind changed direction that day blowing the smoke right where they pitched, the husband
of the 2 actually said he wished he had brought his charcoal bbq as he didn't think gas bbqs tasted the same & he was getting hungry smelling mine,this year i have bought a new bbq. small enough to carry but large enough to cook fr 4. How many people agree
you cant beat the taste of a charcoal bbq compared to gas or a cadac that is more a hot plate than bbq
