Waste pipe

Hi all, I have noticed a lot of vans with the domestic style waste pipe fitted from the waste outlet to waste master. After researching on the web a lot of people think it improves rate of drainage. Does anyone use these? I can't see how just replacing the
outlet to rigid pipe without replacing all the corrogated waste pipe under the van will improve drainage drastically. your experiences and thoughts are welcome!
