my car is going in the garage on Tuesday for a recall (2006 Mitsubishi shogun elegance) its something to do with the timing chain tensioner that has snapped on some cars around 40,000 miles the garage said the part is about £20 for them to replace but £5000
if it snapped causing the chain to jump off there was a car in the garage that it had just happened to when I called in on Friday & the engine had just been removed ready for a new one going in as it had so much damage it was cheaper to put another engine
