future solar power
I was watching a programme the other night about how they make solar panels they said how far they had advanced over the years as old panels needed full sunshine to work now the just need daylight,they have developed panels that are so efficient that what
you see on 1 house roof today could in future be enough to generate power for 5 houses, & will work to full capacity even on cloudy winter days, i wonder in 10 years time if we will all have a light weight panel on the caravan roof that will power everything
in the van with no need for ehu

10 years on and I don't think we are quite there yet, while light weight panels have become available you certainly would need a good few on your roof to power the van. While the latest panels have an improved output and do produce some power on overcast days to charge a battery, its not enough for direct use.
