Making a motor home disability friendly
We own an Autocruise Star Spirit 2005. We installed a second hand Milford hoist to the front passenger door which lifts Sue into the passenger seat and hinged the entire shower wall to give better access to the toilet and shower.. We use an adapted wheel chair to push the wife the length of the van and a transfer aid to move her from the passenger seat to w/c. We carry a disability scooter on the bike rack. Sue has MS but we will never give up motor homing until we run out of new ideas. We bought a small trailer to carry some of the equipment and also bought a Vango Attar air awning which I can put up on my own in 30 minutes. We go to France every year, as well as Scotland and are going to the bulb fields at Keukenhof in April. We prefer sites with wet rooms but can manage without for a short time. Good luck to all the members with disabilities.

Good post Gavel, glad to see the positive attitude you and Sue display. My Sue is also disabled following a stroke and we also travel with both wheelchair and lightweight mobility scoter. Nothing fazes my wife who will not give in and perseveres through
the pain and diiscomfort, we both love our Motorhome and intend to carry on as long as we can.I hope that your thread will give encouragement to all who may need it..
