Flashing blue light on Whale water heater

Not making it up. It's flashing blue on the water heater itself. Perhaps it is a Police version? Heater is drained. Could it be a warning that it has no water in it? It obviously means something but I dont know what. Can anyone help?

I cannot afford to ring 0845 numbers in NI to whale directSurprised

Sorry to post this twice but I listed it under whale water heater and it did notseem to get noticed very well.

    No doubt you have figured it out by now but I am guessing you have the iVAN controller? The blue flashing light is normal  - it means it is communicating with it
