Whale water heater

Hi

Does anyone know why my Whale water heater housing might be flashing Blue. Some kind of LED in the housing. It's very pretty but I suspect it will mean someting. I should say, it is not in use and drained down. Perhaps it is a reminder not to run it until
it has water in?
