French Ecotax
I've read quite a lot of stuff about the planned new french 'Ecotax', both online, and in France, but I can find nowhere that gives a categoric response to one simple question ... will it apply to private motorhomes?
I've found various websites purporting to explain the whole thing, I've looked at Road Haulage association sites etc. etc. it seems such a simple question, and yet i cannot find a definite answer.
Our vehicle is over 4tonnes, tag-axle, Autotrail, and the Ecotax applies to vehicles over 3.5tonnes, and with most of the stuff i've read only detailing weight as the trigger.
It seems the system implementation is delayed anyway until October, so maybe it'll be 'stillborn' (as might the requirement to carry a breathalyser, which is the balance), but if anyone does know about the ecotax one way or the other then I'd be grateful
for the clarity.
