Deposit disappointment

Early this year we booked a CL near Coniston for a week at the end of the summer holidays.  We were asked to pay a £45 deposit (three nights worth), which we did.  About 4 weeks before the holiday we received a telephone message to say that they had gone
out of business and could we please phone them to arrange reimbursement of the deposit.  We rang and rang and rang - about 50 times.  No answer.  No deposit back.  We rang the Club who said they couldn't help in anyway.  Totally gutted.  Totally scammed. 
Totally UNHELPED by the Club.
