Coachman warranty 2017 caravans
Reading on coachman web page it states 5yr warranty on all new caravans from 2015 but was informed today by Raymond James that they have now changed it to 3 yrs but it's still 10 yrs for water ingress. Just wondering what other people have been told that
have ordered new vans in the last few weeks.

Hgv Gaz very good and relevant post. The 2017 Owners Handbook on the Coachman website confirms the warranty is now for 3 years. I've had a look at my 2016 Handbook and it says the warranty is for 5 years. Compare that to Elliot Hibbs, Coachman's Sales Director
statement in the recent Leisure Vehicle Survey:"Coachman’s emphasis is always on quality, which was backed up by the results of this survey, and we will continue to strive to create the perfect quality caravan."
So why reduce the warranty when their "emphasis is always on quality"?

If you look on some dealer web sites they are still saying coachman vans carry a 5 yr warranty. Previous coachman owners when looking at the new vans are saying the quality isn't as good and I think coachman know that as well that's why they have reduced it down to 3yrs.

If they'e as good at upholding warranties as they are at supplying the smallest of spare parts, I wouldn't hold my breath. I contacted a few dealerships for availabilty & price, as expected, no return call, so I called one of them back. Their excuse was
cos they were waiting for Coachman to get back to them. So I emailed Coachman, that was on the 1st Oct, they eventually replied today (6th) saying that the part was available from them via their dealerships but delivery would be 2 to 3 weeks!!!!! My car's
Airmatic suspension leg came from Germany within 3 days!0 -

Write your comments here...The quote from Hibbs is what I would call tosh. If we substitute "Rowntree" and "Juicy Fruits" for "Coachman" and "Caravan" then one can realise the level of tosh being spoken. Particularly so in the light of the reduction in
warranty period.0 -
To evaluate a caravan we must therefore, on a personal basis, "suck it and see"?
