Mirrorguard covers

We have a 3yr. old Swift Bolero motorhome on a Fiat platform. We fitted Mirrorguard protective covers on the vehicles mirrors some 20 months ago. We are now having to replace the offside mirror at considerable cost, the reason being that the outside temperature indication in the multi function disply has become faulty i.e giving outside temperature readings anywhere between 40 deg and 56 degs. On investigaation it was found that the drain hole on the Mirrorguard cover is in the wrong location, not at the lowest point, so the thermocouple has been sat in water !!.. Hence it going faulty.Has anyone else had the same problem with protective covers from Mirrorguard ?
