Gas options
Confused again!
When we bought our van in August it had a heavy butane bottle fitted, how full we did not know. However, when it was apparently almost empty and we were going to do a Xmas Lights trip to London, we changed it for a Light bottle. This held 6 Kg.
For reasons too complex to mention, I burnt up all of that gas and today bought a refill. Whilst talking to the young chap at the Calor centre, he told me that the lightweight butane bottles hold 1Kg more gas but cost the same. He warned that the butane
needs a different regulator and freezes at low temperatures.
OK. I live in the Westcountry and us don't get too cold down here, so butane might be a more economic option. Regulators don't seem to be that expensive, about five or six sqids on EBay, so why are we all buying Propane?
