Troutbeck Head midges gone yet?

I read in a few reviews that midges were being a problem at the Troutbeck Head site earlier this year. Is anyone there now or has been there in August and could kindly report back if they are still a problem? We're going a week today and want to know if we have to stock up on insect repellent.
