Galaxy/Powershift or Volkswagen sharan/DSG

Hi. As any one got towing experience with either of these cars. I have got a 2010 galaxy 138bhp. tows my lunar 1497kg caravan very well,a bit of front wheel spin some times. Thinking of getting an Auto. Any thoughts would welcome.
