Tyre Pressure ?

Hi All

I have a Avondale Rialto 555-4  MTPLM 1340kg 

 tyre size 165 R1394N  hand book says 65psi   

tyre fitter said this was to high and has damaged my tyres,   also they should be deflated by half  when not in use to prolong the tyre life. 

any thoughts
