CRiS Registration

Do all vans have this? is it like the DVLA for caravans? Our old van had a Cris Registration document but for some reason our new van does not - I have spoke with CRiS this morning and they are going to register our van (via the dealer) Should I worry if
the previous owners did not have it registered?
