Has anyone used or even heard of the 'Section 75 law' regarding purchases by credit card?

Moneysavingexpert.com States that if you buy something between £100 and £30,000 and pay ANY amount of it by credit card then your CC company is liable for the whole amount if anything goes wrong and you have cause to complain. This could be handy if you
buy a car or a van, pay for the deposit by CC and then have problems later.

i just wondered if anyone has tested this law And does it work?
