Leaf springs

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the springs on a Fiat Ducato chasis are prone to becoming squeaky if the M/H is left standing for a few weeks?

My 2010 Autotrail had not been moved for 5 weeks (longest duration since I've had it) due to the bad weather. When I drove it off the slab last week, the N/S spring was really noisy. I booked it in at a local garage - £180 later, shakles removed, a good
grease around and replaced, all is fine.

I dont have the tools or space to do this sort of thing myself, but I do have a grease gun. Should I use the gun a couple of times a year or was this just bad luck on my part?
