Mini Scottish tour starting in Newark.
I realise there is another thread almost the same
I have an American work college who has never been to the UK and would love to visit, but with out driving everywhere and only having limited time, I recommend him to maybe hire a MH and do a mini tour, that
also go me thinking why miss out on a chance to see some of my own country as well.
So living in Newark on Trent on the A1 I was planning to head to Scotland and do a few nights in Edinburgh so he can see the capital and then head to Aberdeen to see my family 2 birds with 1 stone kind of thing
and then head inland north to the (whisky trail) and back down towards Perth/Glasgow and south via Carlisle and back to Newark. Looking at a 10-day trip maybe push 2 weeks depending.
Being from Aberdeen I know the surrounding areas but like most people we don’t really know what’s on your own back door so to speak.
Any advice on sites and routes and what people recommend to see, remember it’s mainly a trip for him to see Scotland Hes ex mitary and enjoys that historic type of thing,I’m just using it as an excuses to get out of jobs at home ….
Thank you.
