Non dedicated towbar wiring issue

I recently purchased a new Ford Kuga 2wd 2.0 diesel and the dealer arranged for a detachable towbar to be fitted. i have recently returned from holiday towing my 98 caravan(1275 MTML and 85 kg nose weight all checked before my journey), I also inflated
the cars tyres to the figures stated in the handbook

Having towed my caravan for many years I was suprised that the outward journey was very bouncy so for my return journey I lowered the rear tyre pressures slightly which improved it slightly.

I realise now that the car towbar has been wired with a bypass relay and was wondering if this could be causing this as the car would not know it had a caravan attached.

I also note the cars fog lights remain on when I put the fog lights on and thought they should be bypassed to avoid dazzling the driver.

Has any one else had these issues with the bouncing effect when towing or has anyone had none dedicated towbar wiring issues.

I am also concerned that Ford should have only fitted dedicated wiring.

Apart from the Trailer stability control what other effects would having none dedicated wiring produce.

I must add I have towed this caravan for many years with different cars and have never had any issues and have checked caravan noseweight etc and its ll fine

Thanks in advance
