Winter Caravaning

Having been caravaning for 3 years, we have always stopped from October until April. However this year we really would like to try caravaning during the winter but seems to us that a porch awning will be essential.

Does any members have any suggestions or pitfalls to watch out for regarding new or second hand winter awnings
