Our motorhome has a payload of 3.5tonne as stated on the certificate. Can this be driven with a new style licence?

Is it vehicles OVER 3.5tonne that require the additional test under the new licences or is vehicles INCLUDING 3.5 tonne that need the additional test. I know both are fine on the old style licence.
