Hello, an introduction

Although we have been members for about eight years, this is by way of an introduction.  We used to camp under canvas when the children were younger.  Now they have left home we treated ourselves to an Eriba 420, which we love.  I grew up in the then Southern
Rhodesia.  My parents bought a locally built caravan, called a Gypsy.  We visited most parts of the country including game reserves, Victoria Falls and the Low Veld.  The most memorable holidays were to what used to be Portuguese East Africa, now Mozambique.
The roads were largely unmade.  The port of Biera was always worth while.  My brother and I loved the sea, a novelty after landlocked Rhodesia.

Write your comments here...That's an interesting story. Are there many camp sites or caravan sites there? Anyhow, welcome to Club Together, Gaffcutter.

With a username like gaffcutter, he probably tows his Eriba with a horse.

Hi Gaffcutter.   Welcome to Club Together.  You appear to have got into caravanning the same way as many of us did - as tenters first.  Look forward to reading your posts on Club Together.
