Shoe Storage in awning help!

Hi All,  Having recently had 8 people staying in our 6 berth van I was literally twitching at all the shoes abandoned all around the steps into the awning.  Is there a decent lightweight shoe storage option you can recommend? I find our awning looks awful most of the time as it gets so cluttered with toys/bikes/drying garments etc. please help!

ETA - we had  2 of the guests in the awning inner tent. Don't worry we weren't all packed in like sardines!
