Ideal noseweight help.

Hi,

Could you please help me with the ideal noseweight for my caravan as i'm finding conflicting information.

Some advice in the forum suggests 5-7% of the MTPLM of the caravan, whereas the CC site help for beginnners "Top twenty caravanning questions" (3) suggests approx 7% of the actual laden weight (ALW).

I will be towing a coachman with a Touareg with 140kg ball limit. Not sure on the tow bar limit yet until it's fitted. Max caravan hitch is 100kg

ALW is around 1770kg, MTPLM 1865kg. Based on the ALW at 5% is 88kg and at 7% 124kg.

i'm guessing i need to be close as possible to the 100kg BUT how close? One more thing, It's a twin axle.
