Sinking into grass pitches

We have recently converted from a caravan to a MOTORHOME. We have had problems on two occasions with the rear wheels sinking into the grass.

Does anybody have some novel ways of dealing with this other than using hard standing or carrying around large lumps of sheet metal plates
