TV Recorders

Under pressure by OH. Present have a sky disc and box(paid one off fee). Dont use Sky. Box has Dish Cable entering with Scart lead between Box and TV. Now  needs recorder (to delete adverts watching Downtown). I get Freeview and BT Sport at present. What
sort of box do I need to get Freeview and BT Sport. Will I still need to keep Sky box and card?  Any help to a Dinosaur welcomed.
