Water Pump

Just bought brand new Swift Lifestyle 4CK, can't believe how noisy the on board water pump is. Can anybody tell me if this is normal. Also the intake  water pipe seems to be curling up inside the water barrel, so when barrel half empty the pump starts to
draw air in. Any ideas thanks.
