There must be someone out there who passes on daft ideas or tips for campers. How else can you explain why people drape their wet towels over their wing mirrors?

Our mirrors are the least-clean parts of our 'van most of the time, the other being the bike rack: we've seen towels on there as well.

Does anyone have an explanation? Does anyone have any other daft tips?
