Do Your Dogs Enjoy Caravanning?

Being new to the world of caravanning I am just wondering if anyone gets the sense that their dogs actually enjoy going away in the van? I have to say that our two look a bit traumatised by the whole upheaval!
Maybe its the fact that they pick-up on our stress levels....which for me being new to this are very high! Putting up the awning is guaranteed to see them as far away from the whole process as possible!
