Levelling A Van

I'm a a bit unsure on how you level a caravan from front to back. I get that you use the jockey wheel but that has a limited range, what happens if you need a bit more than the jockey wheel adjustment gives. Do you have to use a jack to raise or lower the front of the van to reset the jockey wheel? Hope some of this makes sense Happy
