How good ( or bad ) is your caravan dealer

Some Months ago I was in the process of buying a new caravan, so I went to my local dealer to look at a top of the range ' Coachman '. In all respects but one an excellent caravan - my concern being blown air heating and I wanted an 'Aldi ' system. I spoke to a salesman who told me that the ducting for the heating was contained in the double floor structure thus reducing heat loss in the ducting. A few weeks later I went back to the same dealer and spoke to another salesman on the same subject. This one told me that the ducting was completely inside the caravan thus eliminating heat losses in very cold weather. Well what a load of rubbish as a quick look under the caravan establishes the truth. At the front of the caravan the ducting is inboard but to reach the rear the ducting is attached to the outside of the floor and is not insulated thus losing much of the heat in cold weather. There is no double skin floor. Do these people make it up as they go along on the assumption that the buyer wouldn't know a caravan if it fell on their foot. I don't go to this dealer any more and bought a caravan with an 'Alde' system from elsewhere. Manufacturers and dealers should really train there staff. ' Joe Public', is not as thick as salesmen believe.
