A new series of Great Canal journeys started on Sunday night, it is one of our favourite programmes very entertaining and Tim West and Prunella Scales present it in a very humourous way. In this series they are in Sweden a place I have never been to but
always fancied visiting.

I've been watching their journeys and saw the programme on their trip across Sweden.  I love Sweden, a country well worth a visit.

I also love the way Tim West and Prunella Scales bounce off each other and I thought the way Tim mentioned Prunella's difficulties with memory was very sympathetically done.

I have watched them all and the Sweden one had some lovely scenery, but Tim is a bit short with her when she's confused with the mooring ropes, she's so apologetic and I'm just waiting for her to say **** Tim
    SurprisedLaughing

Sweden looked such a clean country, no supermarket trolly's or bikes in their canals.

Yes I think the way her illness was dealt with was done well although you can see that Tim does get quite frustrated at times although he is always very apologetic afterwards and says that he often forgets. Great TV though all the series's have been good
    so far.

Cruised up the Baltic a couple of years back. The approach through the islands to Stockholm is beautiful.

Yes, I do find his boat handling capabilities surprising since he's been 'messing about in boats' for many years. If my skills after such a long period were at a similar level, I'd be too embarrassed to do a TV series about it. We all manage the occasional
'elevaton of spherical objects' but his seem fairly frequent unless it is being done 'for' the TV.
