Return to Base Warranty ??

I have a new Lunar Clubman SB that has a damaged locker door due to the fact that it does not accept BP Gaslite bottles - although the handbook and website specified that it does. The dealers have agreed to replace the door - with a modified fitting this
time - but it has to go back to them for the work, which is fair enough. However, the bottles were actually put in the locker by myself and the salesman when purchased initially. The van was collected a few weeks later and we took it to a nearby site for a
couple of nights. The locker fault, together a couple of others was notified to the dealer who looked at it and said it was a warranty repair. So far so good.

The issue is that we live on the Isle of Man, which the dealer knew about, and to take the caravan back to York, not only means a 280 mile round trip from Heysham to York, but also costs me £230 for the ferry just for the caravan.

Am I justified in requiring the seller to pay towards this? I have been advised that S48 of the Sale of Goods Act applies and therefore the dealer should pay.

Any thoughts please?
