Fridge food contamination

I noticed that there is nothing to stop meat dripping into the salad tray at the bottom of my Dometic Fridge. At the NEC I asked for an explanation on the Dometic stand. They apparently do not have a drip tray. We are forever being reminded to only put raw
meats on the lower shelves in the fridge to stop cross contamination. After one trip I had to throw the contents of the salad tray away. I now cover the bottom shelf to try to stop cross contamination. Does anyone have a solution to the problem. The Thetford
fridge has the required protection tray.
