3rd gas bottle in front locker?
Hi everyone
My first query on here - normally I find the answers from questions already asked! But I couldn't find anything definitive on this - apologies if it's been asked before.
We want to put a third gas bottle for our front locker. It's for the 3-way fridge we have for the awning (needed for dog food!). We'd rather put it in the locker than carry it in the car (limited space, with dogs taking up the boot, for one thing!) or in
the 'van itself (difficult to secure it safely).
There's space for it in the locker, and noseweight won't be a problem.I'll go to a weighbridge too, just to make sure we're within MTPLM - should be fine, but best to check. I'll also get a strap to secure it, the same as the other two.
So, anything else we need to consider? Also, can I fix the strap myself or do I need to get a gas-safe engineer to do it? If I can do it myself, any tips on how to do it? Can't find any advice on that anywhere on the internet!
Many thanks to anyone who can offer some advice.
