Heavy Duty Suckers for temporary Solar Panel fix

I am considering temporarily fitting a solar panel to the roof of my caravan with the Quick Release Heavy Duty Suction mounts that are available.  (The type with the lever to sucker it on to the surface) Just to fit it in winter to keep the battery topped
up whilst the caravan is in storage.   I used a similar product many years ago to fit a boot rack to a sports car and the suckers pulled/creased the top layer of paint on the car paint work over a few weeks.  I am hoping that they have come on since then.

Has anyone has experience of using these on a caravan please and any problems or not?
