Merrose club site too many pitches

I have booked for merrose at the end of the month. Reading the reviews, most are commenting on the fact that there appears to be too many pitches packed in to the area resulting in members to close to each other and  lack of space. This worries me, should
i find another site? Or are the comments unfounded. The wardens have been questioned about this and they quote the book answer that the sites are measured out and are to standard. Should I enquire before I arrive and if I find it to be cramped in, ask for
some compensation.
