Travel Advice Warwick to Longleat

Hi, I'm new to caravanning this year and we're due to commence our summer holiday at the end of July.  We're starting out at Warwick then travelling down to Longleat before moving onto Bude for an extended stay.  Can anyone offer any advice on the best route
to take between Warwick and Longleat.  The route planner is offering 3 routes all roughly equal in terms of timing.  My preferred route would be the A429, A350 as this avoids both Bath and Oxford City centres which the other 2 routes suggest.  Having never
ventured on either of the above A roads can anyone comment as to there suitability for caravans?  Thanks
