Battery and battery charger.

Hello, I need to make a purchase and possibly TWO purchases. I need a new battery charger with the leisure battery in mind and am confused by the many different outputs on the market. Obviously it will need to be able to charge car batteries, too, should
the need arise.

Also, if the battery on our Bailey Ranger proves to be duff, what type and amperage should I go for, bearing in mind we have a motor mover?

    Not the cheapest, but a CTEK charger will do the business. As for a battery, the biggest that will fit your locker - about 110amp hour.

    Almost any charger will do, as long as it has an automatic shut off once it reaches full charge. Agree with previous post re Battery 110ah if it will fit.

    I assume the charger is primarily for keeping your leisure battery topped uo over the winter period, is this correct?

    I also agree with both other posts the CTEK would be ideal

    Also 110 ah battery should fit in (just) and would be perfect. How old is your leisure battery?

    One of the chargers Lidl or Aldi often sell will do the job for around £16

    We replaced our battery with a Banner Energy Bull at 110a/h

    I have to say that I have never felt the need to charge the battery between trips, even over winter. That said, we rarely go more than a month between trips. But it's been several months this winter (for various reasons) and the battery still seems fine.

    Hello, thanks for all the replies. I shall always require a charger as we have three cars (one a Morris Minor) as well as the caravan. I also use a solar trickle charger although for some reason or other, it fell into dis-use. Shame on me! The leisure battery
    is about seven years old but, as the ctek is on order, I will see what it tells me as regards to the state of charge.

    I have a leisure battery of unknown age it was in a campervan I bought in 2007 and it still holds charge,I've used an optimate bike charger to maintain it
