Kampa Rallye 390

Hi, We've just become a member and we have a Compass Magnum 534, we recently bought a Kampa Rallye 390 Porch awning to fit but we heard some other caravanners in a showroom talking about making sure the side window of the van is not at the edge of the awning. Can anyone tell me the reason for this???
