We have a 6m long A-class with rear garage. It will take two bikes and two chairs in the garage. However, what DaveandSam may want to carry suggests they will exceed the rear axle loadings and the overall 3500kg weight for most, if not all, 6m long vans.
You can uprate a 6m motorhome to at least 3700kg - doubt the rear axle will go above 2000kg - and more [including uprated rear axle] if you flash the cash [16" wheels, fatter tyres, semi air suspension etc].

Many people who long term in a motorhome tend to go for a 3850kg+ chassis on a 7m+ long van if they want to take a lot of kit with them. Above 3500kg and you need a C1 licence entitlement.

The number of motorhomes with proper double floors is diminishing because of the desire to bring them in under 3500kg. Compare my previous 2005 Hymer544 with the current model and you will see the newer compromises to double floors in some models.
Heavier motorhomes don't have the same compromises.

I can vouch for the Chausson 610 mentioned by BB. 6.5m, very comfortable electric drop down bed, will easily seat 6 around the table, fabulous "bathroom" with full size shower tray and very nicely appointed in the Welcome spec.  Most importantly for you,
it has an enormous garage, with access from both side and rear.  We took delivery of our in spring and are very pleased with it.  A lot of MH for the money.

Steve, I have just watched the Practical Motorhome review on Youtube and it does look very impressive. but ( there  is always a but) the reviewer said the front seats do not swivel around, is this correct?. I am not a great fan of the euro lounge and if
you cannot use the driving seats that does seem a major flaw

Write your comments here...we have the 610 in Welcome trim and our Fiat cab seats do swivel.  So far, other than for a noisy Dometic sunroof, which is going to be sorted, I can't fault it.
